Learn how to install, test, and maintain explosion-proof equipment in practice.

Are you a mechanic working in hazardous (explosive) environments? Then this course is for you! The ATEX for Mechanics - recertification course is designed for maintenance and/or troubleshooting mechanics who have previously completed the ATEX for Mechanics course (or the individual Ex modules 001, 003, 004 and 006) and who need to demonstrate that their knowledge is up to date. The course ensures that participants have the required competence to work safely on a daily basis in hazardous areas and to correctly install, maintain and repair explosion-protected equipment and installations.

This course includes both theoretical and practical examinations administered by PBNA.

The course consists of theory and practical training over two days and is based on the learning objectives and assessment criteria of IECEx 05 modules Ex 001, 003, 004, and 006.

  • ATEX 114 and 153 legislation
  • Installation of equipment and wiring systems
  • Performing and documenting repairs

Dit verwachten we van jou

To successfully attend and complete this course, the following basic skills are required:

  • Successful completion of the ATEX for Mechanics course (or the individual Ex modules 001, 003, 004 and 006)
  • Electrical engineering education
  • Minimum MBO-2 (intermediate vocational) thinking and working level

Afronding en resultaat

The course concludes with an examination administered by PBNA. Upon successful completion, you will receive a company-recognized diploma.
