Learn how to install, test, and maintain explosion-proof equipment in practice.

Are you a mechanic working in hazardous (explosive) environments? Then this course is for you! The ATEX for Mechanics course is designed for maintenance and/or troubleshooting mechanics who work daily in explosive areas and need to know how to correctly install, maintain, and repair installations and equipment.

This course includes both theoretical and practical examinations administered by PBNA.

The course consists of theory and practical training over four days and is based on the learning objectives and assessment criteria of IECEx 05 modules Ex 001, 003, 004, and 006.

  • ATEX 114 and 153 legislation
  • Installation of equipment and wiring systems
  • Performing and documenting repairs

To successfully attend and complete this course, the following basic skills are required:

  • Electrical engineering education
  • Minimum MBO-2 (intermediate vocational) thinking and working level

Afronding en resultaat

The course concludes with an examination administered by PBNA. Upon successful completion, you will receive a company-recognized diploma.
